I’m a huge fan of Steelseries products, so once I heard the announcement of a wireless upgrade to their popular Sensei mouse, I freaked! The new Wireless model will feature Steelseries’ own switches which will allow for a 30-million click lifespan and also includes CPI customization up to 8,200 and DCPI up to 16,400. Steelseries promises more than 16 hours of wireless gaming, but also includes the option to go wired for endless play time.

“The Sensei name and line-up has always been about delivering best-in-class performance to users who want a mouse that takes what is considered “good” and exceeds expectations on performance, technology, software and capability,” said Bruce Hawver, SteelSeries CEO. “The Sensei Wireless holds true to its name and was built to be the best wireless gaming mouse on the market with a wireless performance and features that will sure to impress its users.”

There are 8 programmable buttons and SteelSeries’ ExactTech settings that can be completely configured through SteelSeries Engine 3 software. Features rubberized accents for better grip of the mouse and just like their newer products, certain areas can be illuminated through their Engine software (scroll wheel, SteelSeries logo, base station and pinhole) with over 16.8 million color option and settings. The Sensei Wireless has a 1-millisecond response time for lag free game play, which will definitely be a plus for PC gamers. The best feature of this new mouse has to be its base charging station. Illuminated when docked gives the Sensei Wireless a futuristic look and would look great on most desk set ups.

The SteelSeries Sensei Wireless Gaming Mouse will be available on SteelSeries.com beginning in March 2014 for $159.99 MSRP.
