Sennheiser’s latest headphones have been absolute hits. The Momentums and Urbanites have easily become some of our favorite headphones from 2014, but how does one reinvent the line for a new year? Sennheiser have taken these popular headphones and made them wireless – among other changes. The Momentum On and Over Ear have Wireless options, while the Urbanite XL is the only wireless option from that line.
The new Urbanite XL wireless features the same drivers and quality found on the original with the addition of Bluetooth and NFC wireless connectivity. They also included swipe gestures for media controls and an impressive 25 hour battery life.
The On Ear and Over Ear version of the Momentums have also been upgraded with Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC connectivity. Still keeping its true audio quality, the Momentum 2.0 Wireless models offer a great balance of style and technology. The Momentums also feature easy folding for quick storage and over 22 hours of battery life. The new models will also feature a three-button in-line remote with an integrated mic for controlling music and taking calls. The major change will come in the Momentum Over Ear with much larger memory foam ear cups that actually sit around the ear, rather than on.
They will be available from January 2015 in two variants, optimized for either Apple iOS or Android and Windows smart devices.
