I always seem to get excited when headphones are mentioned.  Sennheiser, a highly respected audio company, is announcing a new DJ headphone series.  Much inspired by the high and mighty HD-25 headphones, the HD DJ line is here to set the bar and pave the way for others to follow.  They are all very similar with slight differences in between and all meant for somewhat different purposes.

HD6 Mix

  • Balanced and accurate sound
  • Optimum compatibility with studio and mixing equipment
  • Passive noise attenuation
  • Highest wearing comfort
  • 150ohm impedance for optimum compatibility with studio and mixing equipment

  • Swiveling ear cups
  • Constructed with rugged lightweight parts
  • Meant for years of usage
  • Capable of very loud, high SPL suitable for loud DJ environments, but high noise isolation mitigates the need to max out the volume for safer listening
  • 95 ohm impedance for optimum compatibility with DJ equipment

  • Excellent sound reproduction
  • Top of the line DJ Model inspired by the HD 25 meant for professionals
  • Swiveling ear cups
  • Elliptical, circumaural design for maximum comfort that also reduces background noise in even the loudest of listening environments
  • 95 ohm impedance just like the HD7 DJ
  • Capable of very loud, high SPL suitable for loud DJ environments

These are all built with durable ear cups that are great for long periods of listening.  They also have 2 cables each, both coiled and straight, as well as premium protective cases.  Sennheiser built these so they were meant to last for years of usage, not that any of their products break from one day to the next.  I hope to get my hands on a pair.  There is no set release date yet but we will keep you updated as soon as the news goes up.  If you’d like to see what we thought of one of their latest headphones, head over to our review.  Stay tuned to RTV for more information on Sennheiser products.
