Pebble Surpasses $7 Million in Kickstarter “Pebble Time” Campaign 

By now you probably have heard of the massive online frenzy of Pebbles newest smartwatch – the Pebble Time. Instead of a global release in retailers, Pebble took their launch to the one place it all started, Kickstarter. With a new smartwatch up for sale, Pebbles goal was set to just $500,000, which was passed in nearly under an hour. Now in just 24 hours, Pebble has basically shown Apple and Even Google how a smartwatch should be launched.

The new Pebble Time will feature a cleaner design, interchangeable bands, 7 days of battery time, water resistance, a brand new UI and all new colored E-ink display. Pebble was been one of the originators of the smartwatch  and they damn well did it right the first time, by giving users exactly they what they needed. No gimmicks were ever involved. Adding new design features now comes a microphone for dictation replies and more. Now don’t worry, Pebble has also added some cool incentives to those backers who have been with them since day one.
