A lot of gamers have been asking a lot of Harmonix. Bring setlists back, make online bands available, more DLC, and a lot more. However, there are PC gamers who would like for Rock Band to come to PC. Back in the day, Guitar Hero was available for the PC, and people made their own tracks. Harmonix is listening, and is going to try to bring Rock Band 4 to PC along with rebooting the Rock Band Network. There is a catch, just like anything in life. They are asking for $1.5 million via crowdfunding. They are using the new crowdfunding platform, Fig.

“This past October, we released Rock Band 4 for the consoles—the first new Rock Band release in 5 years. This was a massive undertaking for us as an indie studio, but we somehow pulled it off.

But since the very first Rock Band release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in November 2007, there is something we keep getting requests for, something we’ve never had in the series’ eight year history… a version of Rock Band for PC!

We’ve been planning, scheduling, scoping and preparing this PC version since the day after we launched on console back in October, and we’re now ready to launch this Fig campaign to ask for your help to make this happen.” – Alex Rigopulous, Harmonix Co-Founder

There is currently no support for Xbox One instruments on PC, however Harmonix is trying to make this happen. The other big issue? Downloadable content does not transfer over. Harmonix says this is due to PC being considered a different platform.

Harmonix is aiming for a fall 2016 release if they reach their goal of $1.5 million by April 5, 2016.
